Visa Revocations Under Trump: A Crackdown on Exploitation? The US State Department has released data showing that over 175,000 visas have been revoked since January 2025.
The majority of these revocations stem from law enforcement encounters involving various crimes, including assault, driving under the influence, theft, and drug offenses.
Among the egregious examples cited by the State Department are rape, kidnapping, human trafficking, child abuse, and embezzlement.
